Energy Soup

Miscellaneous

Katina shares with us an old and widely used simple detox recipe created by the pioneer of the raw food movement, Ann Wigmore, who helped thousands of people, suffering from all kinds of illnesses to rejuvenate and recuperate their bodies with this little soup.

Katina says, “If you want to try it out for 3 days or more, I suggest you take those days off. No work, just rest and relaxation; slow walks and meditation; no TV, but maybe a movie or two. If possible, have a colonic or do some enemas (ridding the body of toxins) and it would be beneficial to have a few shots of wheatgrass throughout those days as well.

And, of course, drink lots of water!”

Energy Soup

Ingredients
approx. 6 servings

4 stalks of celery
2 large or 3 medium cucumbers
3-4 large handfuls of sprouts (sunflower, buckwheat, mung, lentil)
1/2 avocado

Preparation

Fill your ¼ of your blender with water
Add above ingredients
Blend
If the mixture looks too thick, keep adding a little bit more water until it has a creamy soup-like texture

Add if desired

pinch of kelp, dulse, cayenne
squeeze of lemon
1 or 2 tbs ground flax seed

Note: Common symptoms day 1, 2 and 3: tired, hungry, grouchy, grumpy, headachy, nauseous, weepy; or you could just sail through this with no problem whatsoever. Whichever way, by the 4th day (usually) one feels that yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel and you start feeling really, really good!
