Mood of the Moment
By the end of May, the third of the seven conjunctions between Uranus and Pluto is being formed. In spite of the explosive potential of both planets, it probably will not manifest itself here and there. Rather, it will manifest over a period from 2011 to 2016, in sudden upsurges of crises, breakdowns and breakthroughs. It’s about facing the past (old debts and dues) as well as about freedom. Individually, taking a close look at whatever happened last summer holds valuable clues as to what to expect this May/June. It is important, however, not to repeat last year’s behaviour patterns but to consider them as lessons. This constellation is about renewal. So, is there anything that was not quite authentic at the time, or that turns out in retrospect to be superfluous and useless? What might further creative development of our previous behaviour be like?

Saturn in Scorpio insists on our being absolutely honest in this process; shifty compromise will become increasingly impossible. Mars in Taurus, on the other hand, will not allow for abrupt turnabouts. Now is the time to sow the seeds for the new and look after them during the following months so that we may reap the fruits in November.

AriesAries: Chances and risks balance each other. You still need self-discipline to positively intercept the impact of the energy. But if you manage to bridle your impatience and urge to conquer things, all your projects will be advanced quite a bit. The process of renewal has not yet come to an end, but looking back on developments since June or September, will clarify things for you. Mars in Taurus now gives you a solid footing from where to conquer new territory.

TaurusTaurus: Trust your energy at the beginning of May, and obstacles will lose their supposed strength. From the 10th on, the earthy solid Taurus energy will be joined by the playful Gemini energy. Take it easy, everything is in constant change, so why cling to anything? As you may know, there is something unchanging on which you can always rely. It is deeply enjoyable and reveals itself whenever feelings and thoughts are still. Whenever you look at or create something beautiful, you get a taste of it.

GeminiGemini: In the first half of May there’s a sequence of diverse influences that facilitate developments that are predominantly positive. But in spite of the diversity, you never lose the ground under your feet, while keeping an eye on your goals. In the second half of the month, the cosmic situation intensifies, allowing for creative renewals. On the other hand, you tend to lose orientation quickly – which may tire and discourage you. Take time out, pause more often, and by the end of May, a particularly pleasant surprise awaits you.

CancerCancer: In the first third of May, the creative-mystical orientation continues. From New Moon onwards worldly concerns come to the fore again. In good time, too – since now the boisterous energy of the Uranus-Pluto-Square begins to shake up your inner and outer life. Spirituality should be given a permanent place, particularly in your relationships. Meditate together with others or find other ways of placing something greater in the center of common attention.

LeoLeo: The first two thirds of May are about taking care to ensure firm grounding. For that, Pluto’s energy reserves as well as Venus’ creative zest for life are at your disposal, and will be enhanced until the 15th by Mercury’s pragmatic mind. Only with the Sun entering Gemini does the energy turn more volatile. Now you need other resources, as a strong Neptunian influence weakens your capacity to pursue well-defined, concrete aims. So, give yourself to your spiritual development instead.

VirgoVirgo: Up to the 20th, get back to your resources. A lot can be strengthened, deepened, renewed or energized now: all along you will stay calm and realistic. From mid-May onwards the energy begins to change. Now it is requisite for you to stay in your center. How? Best by a mixture of centering work and centering meditations: on the one hand routine activities and physical tasks that require full concentration, on the other hand Nadabrahma, Tai Chi or the Four Directions Meditation.

LibraLibra: The month begins calmly. It only starts moving on the 10th, yet with no direction. Often you just hang mid-air and may easily slip into the role of victim if you see things too rosily and don’t draw the line. For the second third of May you fare best with Uranus: do your own thing while remaining playful. Expect a climax when Mercury, Venus and Jupiter meet by the end of the month. This forebodes inspiring meetings that will delight you on all levels and widen your perspective.

ScorpioScorpio: Look a little deeper during the first half of the month. Now is not the time to waste your energy with any old roadblocks. Focus on what’s important and draw your energy from that. Then, all stumbling blocks become irrelevant. The second half of the month requires a basic decision from you – not necessarily to be effective immediately. Meanwhile, finish unfinished business, particularly as far as your relationships with others are concerned. Don’t expect fast results, but stay on the ball.

SagittariusSagittarius: Remain playful, take things lightly, everything has (at least) two sides. Stop fighting, most of all in intimate relationships, and simply let go. Trust that all those who really want to belong to you, will put some energy into it. Also there is now no need to drive on your projects; in fact, all that is really worthwhile will happen by itself. At the end of the month, expect to be embraced by Venus (love and beauty), and Mercury (insight and sharing). Enjoy it, but don’t expect commitment.

CapricornCapricorn: Don’t waste your energy fighting obstructive forces. Far better resources are available to you! Concentrate on those and on what can be done here and now towards making your ideas come true. In the second half of May, things could become a bit tough, yet it is more likely that some things escalate. Don’t stick your head in the sand, but study the situation meticulously. You must change something, even if you feel that your whole identity is at stake.

AquariusAquarius: The third Uranus-Pluto-Conjunction requires you to take a good look at your desire for freedom. Examine yourself and your behaviour as if it were a scientific experiment. The crucial questions to ask are: What sort of freedom do I really want? From what, and for what, do I want to be free? If I am honest, is it really about freedom for me? Or am I just unwilling to consider others and prefer them to consider me? Feedback from others will help you understand certain things.

PiscesPisces: In the first third of May you can take creative steps in a realistic and relaxed way and also positively profit from your relationships. In the second half, however, you tend to be dissatisfied and believe that you are powerless and at the mercy of others. You are sensitive to external influences and your body requires your attention. It is true that you have little “thrust” right now. Yet this is also due to your exaggerated expectations. You can only be disappointed if you have set yourself up for it.
