What can I say when my heart is full with song? I am sharing with you the first track of a new album that is on its way.  ‘The Buddha in me’ was written in 1990 in Pune.

While there I wrote about 45 songs; they dropped out of heaven into my heart and I just wrote them down. Not only that, some of them I recorded at the burning ghats one week before Osho went into samadhi; very simply, just with my guitar. That recording, published on YouTube, has had almost 100,000 views.

Now,  with the help of the very best artists here in the Netherlands, including top guitar player Frank Stukker, we made a selection and are recording them at Pro Music Studio, with arrangements by Frank Stukker and produced by Richard Poot.

Osho gave me the name Alok Gayaka, meaning Singer of light…. Once someone told me, You are not your name – but still I keep on singing and writing with Osho in my heart.

Lyrics

He touches me
Makes me see
That I am the ocean
Like it was meant to be
He touches my heart
With fire of love
Brings me to silence
In the wind

He touches my soul
Making me whole
Gives me clean eyes to see
To find the Buddha in me

I leave you my dream, he said
These were his last words
To dance, laugh and sing
When no one is no one

He touches me
Makes me see
I am the ocean
Like it was meant to be
He touches my soul
Making me whole
Gives me clean eyes to see
To find the Buddha in me
He touches my soul
Making me whole

Gives me clean eyes to see
To find the Buddha in me
Gives me clean eyes to see
To find the Buddha in me

I leave you my dream to dream.
