When two ancient traditions come together in ceremony and community, it is a beautiful and powerful experience of Oneness filled with the embodiment of joy, healing, and hope.
During the Via Illuminata, Dr. Alberto Villoldo, medical anthropologist, psychologist, shaman, author, and founder of The Four Winds, and Marcela Lobos, author and teacher of shamanic wisdom, share healing practices of the Amazon and Andean shamans. They have been teaching and leading shamanic trainings and expeditions for decades.
The other tradition is brought by the flame carriers of a 5,000-year-old tradition, Deva Premal and Miten, who merge ancient mantras of India and Tibet with contemporary musical settings.
Alberto and Deva share a common fascination with the ancient mystery teachings of India, how they have influenced Tibetan Buddhism and later made their way across the Bering Strait reaching the shamans of the Americas.
They have explored, together with Miten and Marcela, the wisdom of the Amazon jungle about the journey beyond death and the teachings of immortality, and sat in ceremony in Machu Picchu and other sacred sites.
They consider it now part of their personal mission to bring together the teachings of the East, embodied in the sacred mantras, and the knowledge that has still been kept intact by the Andean shamans.
Each morning begins with yoga, an expedition to ancient temples, and ceremonies with the Andean shamans. In the afternoons we immerse ourselves in healing mantras and sacred songs led by Deva Premal and Miten. The evenings are dedicated to shamanic teachings led by Alberto and Marcela.
In this heart-opening environment, we are enveloped in a joyful, inspirational, and loving rejuvenation of the spirit. At millenary power places in the Andes you will discover that we are all Earthkeepers and can dream a new world into being.
