India’s most popular Hindi newspaper, Dainik Bhaskar, announces, on 24 May 2023, the proposal for a new name of a College in Jabalpur.
The college where Osho taught for about ten years, previously called Government Mahakaushal Art and Commerce Degree College, has changed its name to honour Osho, thanks to the efforts of Ageh Bharti. He had raised his voice in the matter in 2019 on the occasion of the Osho Mahotsav Festival in Jabalpur which had been arranged at the time with the help of the Government.
Ageh Bharti has also written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Shiva Raj Singh Chauhan, a Member of Parliament and two Members of the Legislative Assembly and to the Mayor of the City with the request to change the name of Jabalpur into Osho Puram.
He also petitioned to change the name of Bhanvar Tal (Bhawartal) Garden, where Osho became enlightened, to Osho International Park. The Maulshree tree is now indicated with a board which was installed after he had sent an application to the Commissioner.
Ageh Bharti has also sent letters to numerous editors and members of the intelligentsia regarding these issues. There will eventually be a booklet containing these important letters in order to keep these historical facts on record.
