To celebrate Mulla Nasruddin Day (April Fool’s Day), Osho Dham organized an evening in their Dhyan Mandir to celebrate the release of a book about Swami Om Prakash Saraswati
Keerti writes: “An evening of uproarious laughter, a riot of laughter I would say, on the eve of Mulla Nasruddin Day, 1st April 2024, in the presence of celebrated poet Shri Surendra Sharma. To the joy of the audience he recited his poem Lakshman, Sarupnakha and Ramleela, which had also been recited by Osho in one of his discourses.”
The 84-year-old, most sought-after poet Shri Surendra Sharma also shared some interesting episodes of his life in the presence of the many friends who had joined the evening, among them Ma Dharm Jyoti, Swami Ravindra, Chaitanya Keerti, Swami Amit, Ma Devyani and Ma Shashin.
Another highlight of the event was the launch of a glossy picture book in memory (smarika) of Swami Om Prakash Saraswati, titled The Life Sutras of a Disciple: Swami Om Prakash Saraswati. Swamiji had been a devoted follower of Osho since 1971, attained enlightenment in 2001 and passed away in 2003. He had played a essential role in establishing Osho Dham.
