Journey by Ravi

Music

Songwriter Ravi shares one of his musical poems

Now, as we join hands
And precious hearts and turn our eyes to the sky
As shadows fall, we see it all
And that this love will never die

Deep inside the womb of live we find
There is a seed of graceful light
Bathing in the waters of this love
Until the journey of the soul…
Takes us home

Now, we’re breathing strong, floating fast
Down the river to the sea
We notice who are swimming close
Our spirit family

Deep inside the womb of live we find
There is a seed of graceful light
Bathing in the waters of this love
Until the journey of the soul…
Takes us home

Now, the day begins, nobody wins, nobody loses anymore
And in time, we find this peace
In body, heart and mind, as planets turn
We watch the moon and the movements of the sea
The stars come out, we’re feeling blessed and the earth below our feet

Deep inside the womb of live we find
There is a seed of graceful light
Bathing in the waters of this love
Until the journey of the soul…
Takes us home

This song was written and recorded one lovely sunny morning in London, 2009, whilst basking in the afterglow of a beautiful concert with friends the previous night; sometimes songs like these arrive almost fully formed. The guitar is played in open tuning, the flute is a Hungarian kavel and the song appears on the CD ‘Ten Songs about Love‘.
