…left her body on 10th May 2014
From Ama we hear that our beautiful friend Kaya (Kaya Femerling) died in Munich. She was 50 years old.
“We celebrate her joy of life, her wisdom, her tender heart, her compassion with all living beings – especially horses – her strength and incredible fighting spirit and her ultimate surrender. May her soul fly to new shores.”
Kaya was daughter of Wolfgang and Gisela Femerling of Hamburg Germany, sister of Joerg Femerling of Miami and was the beloved of Roland – and of so many friends she has touched so deeply during her life.
Kaya wrote a letter to Osho News on 24th May 2011 which we published under the title: Kaya: Through Hell and Back for which we put together this small bio for her:
Kaya took sannyas in Germany in 1982 and you might have met her either in Switzerland, the US, Canada, India or Asia. After training and working in several modalities of bodywork and massage she developed, together with Nirvano Martina Schulz, Oceanic Aqua Balancing and Hawaiian Bodywork, which they taught all over Europe for 10 years. In 2000 Kaya moved to Australia and is now working with horses as a Natural Hoof Care Practitioner.
Farewell Celebrations:
Hamburg, Germany, Friday, 30th May at 11am.
Mevlana Hall (NSW), Australia, Saturday 31 May at 11am.
Hard to believe the next day, Sunday, we’ll have Nura Celebration in the same hall.

So sad to get the message from a friend that Kaya has passed away. My memory of her is pure light. Kaya and Nirvano were my teachers in Oceanic Aqua Balancing in 1994-1996 – a work I continued for ten years. I feel so grateful that they shared this with me/us. For me it was a big gift to be in her presence – so much sweatness, caring, beauty, love, ease and light. Love and light from

My Angel Kaya, the connection was instant so many moons ago. How could it not be with such a caring, loving, open, sincere and deep, and most of all fun being? You are held in love firmly in my heart and obviously in the hearts of so many others. We’ll all dance together again on ‘the other mysterious shore’. Precious, so precious Kaya.
Gabriele (Gatha)
My dearest beloved Kaya, for many years we were like brother and sister. We spent lots of precious time together. I am still so thankful that we met and I had the opportunity to be with you and Nirvano, so close in all these courses over the years with all the beautiful friends. We shared some of the best years together. You touched a very deep point in my heart. At this place we will stay friends for eternity…and I bet we will meet again. Your

Beautiful Kaya, blessed one, thank you for the wonderful and special sharing you gave to me and many others. No rhyme or reason can explain your early departure. Nor too, that such goodness should experience such body pain. Now may the peace you deserve stay close to you. Warm condolences for Roland and Family in their special loss. Love,
Prayan

I was with Kaya and Nirvano in a teaching class of Hawaiian Healing and Oceanic Rebalancing. Recently, I wanted to know what Kaya was doing, if still in Australia… and was very sad reading that she died of cancer.
