Deva Premal about her new album, to be released on 6 June 2025, with two tracks on video

The Inevitable Blossoming of the Heart

This album feels very close to me, as my musical adventure continues to transform me. I’m blessed to share this journey with two of my favorite and most inspired human beings, Miten and Joby Baker, who, apart from being a dear friend, is an amazing producer and awesome musician. He recorded and produced the album, which includes collaborations with friends from across the globe.

Gaia Ma is a composition by my ashram friend, Praful, while The Three Jewels features a deeply treasured duet with the extraordinary Nicki Wells, my voice coach and friend.

Om Namah Shivaya Gurave features Miten and me singing together, our voices blending as they have done for the last decades.

Afepakian was co-created with Costa Rican musician, Daniel Mora; it honors sacred Mother Earth in the ancient language of Maleku.

And Alma, composed by Mariana Ingold and Kit Walker, is a joyful Spanish song of soul connection.

The track, The Four Immeasurables was inspired by the request of Buddhist teacher, Jack Kornfield, who asked me to record a piece which invokes these four essential qualities: love, compassion, joy, and equanimity…

The album features four more new mantras and chants to move our body and soul.

Of the total ten new chants and mantras on the new album, The Inevitable Blossoming of the Heart, we have already released Gaia Ma and The Three Jewels (Buddham Sharanam) (see videos below).

Watch on YouTube – Composition: Praful

Gaia Ma, is a sacred invocation to the Divine Mother, celebrating her infinite love, power, and presence within us all. Infused with devotion and gratitude, this mantra is a call to reconnect with the wisdom of the Earth and honor the sacred feminine that nurtures and sustains all life.

The Three Jewels (Buddham Sharanam), is a soul-stirring duet featuring Deva Premal alongside her beloved voice coach and friend, Nicki Wells. This track is deeply rooted in Buddhist tradition and sung in Pali, the ancient language of Gautama Buddha. The mantra embodies the profound significance of the Three Jewels: Buddham (the Buddha), Dhammam (the Teachings), and Sangham (the spiritual community), invoking a unique energetic force that awakens the essence of these foundational principles.”

May your heart rejoice in its inevitable blossoming.
