Best remembered for her roles in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’, actor Kiran Dubey has a strong and spiritual connection with Pune. The actor is in love with the city for many reasons. “I have a lot of gratitude for this city. I came to Pune to study in Fergusson College when I was 17. My father was very liberal, and he introduced me to the teachings of Osho at the age of 14. I am a follower of Osho, and I am not ashamed to accept it,” says Kiran.

The ‘Where Is She Now?’ (2015) actor feels she has a past life connection with Osho, and everything that she is today, is because of his teachings and principles. Kiran says, “I owe all my success, growth and achievements to Osho. He has given me everything I have today.” Kiran has bought a house in Pune, and she enjoys visiting it whenever she gets a chance.

The actor says, “I started my career through a beauty pageant in Pune. This city has given me so much, and I decided to make my first big investment by buying a home here.” She rose to fame through her television roles, and was seen in the industry between 2001 and 2008. “I left Mumbai after that because I can’t deal with mediocrity, and I have certain work ethics. I am a very determined person and so, I decided to enhance my acting skills by studying the craft further,” she says.

In 2014, she was offered a role in John Henry Richardson’s mystery-thriller documentary ‘Where Is She Now?’ “I was the only Indian in the cast and I also won awards for my role. We are now working on the sequel to the movie, which interestingly has been shot in my Pune home,” says Kiran.
