CNN and TIME called Oprah Winfrey “arguably the world’s most powerful woman.”
She has also been named “one of the 100 people who most influenced the 20th Century.”
The Wall Street Journal even coined the term Oprahfication – meaning public confession as a form of therapy – which made Oprah’s most watched daily TV talk show such a huge success for decades and blasted through many social and cultural barriers such as gay and lesbian issues. She is a powerful role model for women, and black American women in particular. She endorsed the self-help program ’The Secret’, spiritual teacher Eckhard Tolle, and together with Deepak Chopra she promotes meditation, with their next global 21 day meditation experience starting July 7, 2015, and is offered for free.
