Held on 1 Baisakh 2080 (14 April 2023), 9am – 9pm, at Tundikhel, Kathmandu, Nepal.

In Nepal, we celebrate New Year on 14th April – or Baishakh 1, Nepalese-style.
Last year, “Om Nepal Media”, in collaboration with Osho Tapoban, organised a special celebration in Kathmandu, which was attended by 15,000 people. This was so much fun, we’re going to do it again.
This Osho Mahotsav – or splendid festival – will take place in Tudikhel Open Grounds in Kathmandu on our New Year’s Day. Our expansive programme, featuring a world-class array of talent, will last from 9am to 9pm, offering something for everyone.
We will commence with a grand opening by the Vice President of Nepal, His Excellency Ram Sahaya Yadav.
There will be music, dancing, and meditation; live kirtan, poetry recital, and yoga; laughter, singing, and an abundance of delicious food.
We will feature a performance by Kutumba, the renowned Nepalese traditional music ensemble.
The mouth-watering catering will be co-ordinated by none other than Santosh Shah, finalist in last year’s BBC Masterchef competition.
At 5pm, Bodhisattva Swami Anand Arun will offer special blessings to all present – perhaps as many as 50,000! – including, no doubt, government officials, political representatives, artists and media personnel, plus friends of Osho from near and far – in short, all of those inspired by Osho’s vision of Zorba the Buddha.
This will be an opportunity to cultivate our sense of wellbeing, both in ourselves and with one another; to step away from everyday worries and stress and experience the joys of living on a holistic level. It will be a chance to realise our true nature.
This amazing extravaganza is being organised in partnership with the Global Tourism Promotion Council; media coordination will be conducted by Film Journalists Association of Nepal.
There will be no admission charge.
