According to a Facebook post by Swami Anand Arun, the event brought together seekers, citizens, and leaders at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel grounds, Kathmandu, Nepal.

The program was honored by the presence of Mahabir Pun, Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, and Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam, Minister for Health and Population.

Swami Anand Arun addressed the audience as the keynote speaker and shared the inspiring story of ten years of persistent effort that led to the official recognition of World Meditation Day by the United Nations.

He spoke about the challenges faced by meditation centers across the world and proposed the need for a dedicated ministry to oversee Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, and Naturopathy, emphasizing their growing relevance for public health and mental well-being.

The event was a powerful step toward integrating meditation and holistic living into the global and national conversation – rooted in awareness, responsibility, and collective well-being.
