Anyone trying to produce a quality book needs help. There are so many words, and some are going to wander off on tangents, get tangled up with other words, misspell themselves, or end up in the wrong paragraph. Several different sets of eyes are needed to bring them into readable – and, we hope, excellent – order.
I edit books, write books, read books, illustrate books, narrate books, produce books, review books. I can help to save you from the embarrassment of holding in your hands your own indie-published book and then hearing from readers that it’s rife with errors. And this is what happens, much more often than not!
I will go through a hard copy of your book in manuscript form and mark it up thoroughly: spelling, grammar, what sense it makes or doesn’t; sentence structure, what content might be missing, or unnecessary. As a very, very old sannyasin, if it’s a memoir I’ll understand the context, the history. If English is not your native language I’ll fix the cadences and word orders and phrasing to make the story flow.
I can then either send it to you to make the changes yourself, or do the changes on a document you send me. We can have a zoom meeting as well.
I charge £30 per hour. If you consult me before you publish, I’ll be saving you the expensive and irritating necessity of trying to re-do a book that has already been published.
Any book project requires many people’s assistance. If I’m one of them, I think you’ll have a better chance of ending up with a good book.
