Proposals for an Osho Chair has been presented at two Gujarati universities and a report about the National Seminar on Osho in Jabalpur
Among recent events that I participated in, proposals for an Osho Chair have been presented to Bhavnagar University as well as to Saurashtra University in Gujarat. Senates of the two universities will discuss them next month and the chances are good for this to happen.
But by far the best and most exciting event was the National Seminar on Osho at a Women’s College in Jabalpur (sponsored by the University Grants Commission). For two days, almost forty papers were read on Osho and his vision by academicians from different parts of India (mostly professors, doctorate degree holders, and students working on their doctoral thesis centered on Osho).
The interest in presenting a paper was so overwhelming that the organizers were compelled to turn down a good many papers for lack of time. The quality of papers was excellent and I was so touched being at the event held right in Jabalpur, and seeing the magic of Osho. The newspaper coverage was good and positive as well. I gave the Keynote Speech on the inaugural day and read a paper, ‘A Revolutionary Osho’ the next day. With this success there is now a thought being passed around of having an Osho International Seminar.
