Stunning footage of Earth taken from the International Space Station

When we first saw a photo of our planet Earth taken from space more than forty years ago, we were in awe about the beauty and colors displayed. Since then, during the many voyages so many photos and films were made available, all of them thrilling and spectacular.

Among the many satellites and space craft cruising above our hemisphere is the International Space Station, which moves around our planet so fast that it can capture 17 sunrises and sunsets every day. And what you can see here are images taken from the deck of the Space Station that show not only the Aurora Borealis but also how night passes over some of our largest cities, as well as lightning storms. Truly spectacular images that put our daily squabbles into perspective!
