Mood of the Moment

This October is shaped by three cosmic events: the square of Mercury and Pluto which started last month, North Node entering into Virgo and, as a special highlight, a Jupiter-Pluto Trine. Mercury-Pluto it is about our perspective, our analyses and communication structures. Pluto demands unconditional honesty and can impart the courage to voice what others are likely to sweep under the rug. Regrettably, under this constellation there’s a tendency to intolerance and fanaticism, which presents major challenges to the rather diplomatic Libra-Mercury.

Also the Virgo-North Node is directed against hypocrisy, lies and deception, yet chooses a more neutral form to provide clarity. Its criticism is factual and the work long-term because it remains in Virgo until May 2017. The effect of the Jupiter-Pluto-Trine is even more positive in its impact and stimulates not only an in-depth, but also expansive perspective. It does not denounce so much the negative aspects, although certainly able to do so, but opens the doors to transformation and renewal for all parties involved.

Aries: The matter of relationships is not yet fully exhausted. You continue to be prompted to stand up for your desire for independence. In the course of the month your romantic ideas decrease rapidly, thus it is much easier for you to rejoice in your own power and self-reliance. During the second half of October find inspiring interlocutors or learning materials that are so interesting for you that you enjoy diving into and mastering them. Common themes are anyway the best basis for relationships.

Taurus: The love for detail dominates now. At first you may think that because of it the bigger vision might get lost. But you will soon realize that this is not the case if you involve yourself in a deeper contemplation of things, persons and situations. Include everything, the pleasant and less pleasant, the beautiful and the sorrowful, and diligently take care to find good answers and solutions. Don’t be intent on a certain result but enjoy the creative process of finding solutions.

Gemini: Even apparently firmly tied down results are not reliable during the first third of October and quite some twists will possibly manifest in the second third of the month. The more accurately you pay attention to detail, the greater the chances of success. Moreover, things must hold water and be practical. Otherwise in the last third much might get messy, and you will be an all too easy target to those who are into power struggles. The only thing that helps in that case is to remember your diplomatic skills.

Cancer: Until mid-October you are going through a process of clarification or making up your mind, particularly in relationships issues or in terms of better balance in your life. At best, make important decisions only in the second half of the month; think everything through beforehand and discuss controversial issues with others. In the second half of the month it will be quieter; retreat and solitude are beneficial for relaxation. Also, a phase is about to start when your physical well-being will come more into focus.

Leo: The process introduced by the last Full Moon continues; it is a matter of finding creative use of power. First of all be clear about where you exercise power and where you are exposed to power. Most often it already helps to judge others by one’s own standards: what use of power would you wish from someone wielding power if you were on the receiving end? With the New Moon it becomes even easier to reconcile your needs with those of others. Sun in Scorpio supports you to remain in your strength and be true to yourself.

Virgo: Now the Greater Fortune (Jupiter) and the Lesser Fortune (Venus) meet in your sign and there are also Mars and the North Node. Hence quite a lot of energy flows to you that wants to be realised and sometimes only to be embraced. In the first half of the month it is more a matter of feeling the fullness and to enjoy. In the second half of the month move with the energy and allow it to make your heart swell and overflow. Celebrate yourself, expand and pour yourself out – in exactly the way that is agreeable to you.

Libra: Communication and learning remain key issues. Sort out for yourself and others everything that weighs down your heart. From the 8^th onwards Virgo comes to your aid and won’t be content with vague blanket solutions. Do an about-turn and dare to present your position frankly. Some people won’t like this but remember just how many people don’t like it when one beats about the bush. Opt for what promises better results in the long run – not for what pleases others.

Scorpio: By and large a month of great abundance. Power and confidence are flowing towards you. You have no need to fight but can count on the fact that everything will develop in the best possible direction. Only in the last third of the month could communication difficulties arise. Set on cooperation rather than assertiveness – generally people are much nicer than you think. If you argue pragmatically you have good chances that they go along with you. If not, consider whether it really matters that much to you.

Sagittarius: For a start, this month you will clear your mind with the effect, amongst other things, that you can clearly take a stand and make a sound argument. The heart, however, needs more than good arguments. Even if it may be difficult for you with Saturn at your side to express your affection boisterously, you will succeed in encouraging and motivating others. Your natural optimism and candour gain more depth and stability with the influence of Saturn and Virgo.

Capricorn: Even though the effect of Mercury-Pluto continues, demanding more mental clarity and depth, you are now getting into calmer waters. Jupiter gives you a feeling of abundance, trust and joie de vivre. Mars brings about energy, determination and enterprising spirit. And Venus bestows an open heart, creativity and the ability to enjoy. All this leaves hardly anything to be desired, in particular as on top Mercury in concert with Saturn help you build a better foundation for your relationships. It is worthwhile to stay tuned.

Aquarius: October can be enormously stimulating. Or enormously arduous. The latter comes about only if you feel you have to act according to the ideas of others. There is actually no reason for that. First of all look what is true for you, regardless of others, and then look for ways to implement it. The key is to shift your focus completely to the present; just like a child, create your game and play it. The likelihood that others want to join is great.

Pisces: During the next 1 ½ years you are asked to increasingly look after matters which up to now you may have experienced as tiresome or dull: organizing your life, i.e. cleaning up and restructuring everyday life, work, and health care. Be aware that what you don’t do now is likely to require substantially more time and effort later. In fact the above mentioned areas rarely take care of themselves and are more enjoyable when one dedicates oneself to them voluntarily and together with friends.
