Mood of the Moment

August is firmly dominated by the Jupiter-Pluto square – a constellation that was already active in November/December 2016 and March/April 2017, and is now coming to its close. It expresses itself mainly through power issues and is primarily about who is right and who is more dominant – a matter of “money is power” or – in the transformative version – “the power of truth”. The former results in the financial extortions of those who have no money and therefore no power. The latter is more interesting for the readers of Osho News, because to stand for one’s own truth and to follow it is an imperative concern to most. This time is favourable if one decides in favour of it afresh.

Saturn, moving directly again, ensures together with Jupiter that one doesn’t lose sight of one’s own truth again, and above all makes sure that everything has a good foundation. With retrograde Mercury and the Sun’s entry into Virgo however, it is vital to be vigilant and to also take care of what appears as being mere trivialities, else they grow rapidly into onerous giant tasks.

Otherwise, throughout the month there are wonderful sources from which you can draw: in the first half of the month – serenity, openness, trust, kindness; in the second half – energy, love of experimentation, independence, modesty and self-worth.

Aries: A month of renewal, of courageous commitment and above all the stabilization of all achievements so far. Mars in Leo brings forth the best in you – the hero, the heroine – wherever you think it’s worth bringing him or her into play. Decide fully for something and then deploy yourself unconditionally. In this way, you mobilize forces and open up opportunities you have not even dreamed of before. Relish every single step you take, and enjoy your creativity!

Taurus: Open up – this month it’s about your receptive side. The more you allow your flow of life to carry you exactly to where it wants you to be, the more pleasant will you experience this time. Stay active, engage yourself, but keep an inner impartiality with everything you do. If, on the other hand, you are strongly identified with your likes and dislikes, and you try come hell or high water to direct the course of things according to your ideas, then difficulties are regrettably pre-programmed.

Gemini: Your alert spirit is starting to direct itself more and more inwards, which means that it is less available to you in practical matters. Particularly in the second half of the month, check your analyses and decisions more often to make sure you didn’t miss anything. On the other hand, in intellectual and spiritual matters, you have increasing clarity and transparency at your disposal. The demands of everyday life don’t represent an obstacle. Self-reflection is possible at any time.

Cancer: A Venus month in which you can drop right into your heart. Heart, by the way, does not mean rose-coloured nebulisation, but an incorruptible clarity rising from the silent centre of the heart. All doubtful back and forth has nothing to do with it and can be safely ignored, because in the end it won’t lead to a satisfactory solution. Relaxation is the key to the first half of August; the second requires more force. And this dynamic too, emanates directly from the wisdom of the heart.

Leo: You may now take a breather in your own centre. Although you do have a lot of energy with Mars in Leo, it won’t come to fruition until the second half of August. Until then, let the sun shine on your belly and gather your strength for the time from the 20^th onwards. From the last third of the month on, you have to think ahead accurately and take care of many details. Agreements are now of great importance and can set a decisive course. Read the small print! In your private life, you can recuperate again.

Virgo: August is suitable to illuminate areas that have remained unquestioned for a long time, although they haven’t yielded the benefits you desired. You don’t have to make any final decisions now, but look closely at situations, relationships, procedures, emotional and mental patterns, and also ideological or spiritual ideas. Let that be untouched, which is satisfactory, and acknowledge to yourself when something is unsatisfactory. Only then do you have a chance to change anything about it.

Libra: You are now moved by fundamental questions: What is true? What is good? What can I take responsibility for? Where is the meaning? Go to the bottom of it all, for you will evolve through them and find answers you’ve been yearning for since a long time. Pluto now promotes a search for meaning that is not satisfied with comforting half-truths. Such an attitude requires courage, but endows you with an imperturbable confidence in your inner voice, which is available to you anytime, anywhere, and points the way.

Scorpio: The big issue of trust is now coming to a climax. What is the culmination of trust? A life in free fall. Like everybody else, you too usually try to channel your life towards a certain direction and sometimes it seems as if it does work. But it puts you in a continuous quiet tension because your intelligence tells you that you can’t ever control everything. Follow your impulses, but then trust in the superior intelligence of which your own intellect is merely a part of.

Sagittarius: From now until autumn 2018, you can tune into a splendid transformative life phase. Externally everything may remain the same – or not! Yet inwardly everything undergoes a profound renewal. Especially your values, your convictions, your ways of thinking experience a radical change. A promising process that you can look forward to with optimism! Saturn will also help you integrate the changes and provide a solid foundation for the emerging reorganization.

Capricorn: What started last fall is now bearing fruit, and when you do everything right, they are indeed sweet. But don’t stop with the taste of fruits, but analyse your approach and learn from it for the future. Without denying the past, look ahead. Saturn is starting to move forward again and receives several positive influences that pave the way for you. You can now develop visions and confidently turn them into reality.

Aquarius: The Full Moon is a chance to concern yourself with the fact that you want everyone to be equal, but that you also like to take on a special role. At first glance, it appears as if that is your private matter, but on closer inspection, it becomes clear that your special role curtails the “equal rights of all.” So, what to do? The only way is putting yourself again and again in other’s shoes and look at the world – and thus yourself – from their point of view.

Pisces: In the first half of the month, a few hurdles have to be overcome, tense situations in which you feel unable to act. The answer: There just isn’t a good solution. Wait and see. In the second half of August many things are solved by themselves, and you get external support. Don’t speculate, but ask your heart for the best way and then follow it. As long as no clear answer crystallizes, let things develop. And send your request for help to the universe!
