Besides wanting to explore the question, ‘What is love?’, it is also worthwhile in October to take a good look at one’s own life to see how it is with love as it represents itself in Scorpio, says Sitara.

Mood of the Moment
During the next few months we will want to explore the question “What is love?”. Everybody uses this word, but depending on the mindset and maturity of the person who articulates it, a variety of perceptions are associated with it: love relationships, friendship, charity, marriage, sex, brotherhood, sympathy, duty, motherly love, harmony, faithfulness, passion, mergence, kindness, familiarity, self-sacrifice, etc. But one thing is certain: most people have a version of love in their minds that has little to do with their actual reality and must therefore be re-examined from time to time. This happens always when Venus becomes retrograde.
In October, Venus moves retrograde through Scorpio; the answer to the above question is: love means going beyond one’s own limits – because something else (that which one loves) is more important than staying in the habitual comfort zone. And there are many things one can love: a living being, nature, a spiritual or material value, etc.
In this context it is worthwhile in October to take a good look at one’s own life to see how it is with love as it represents itself in Scorpio: Where have I just been called upon to leave my comfort zone? Do I love the object on whose account I’m supposed to leave it, enough to do so? And if not, does this correspond to my previous perception or have I always thought that I would do EVERYTHING to do justice to this object? And what exactly is this object?
So, a reality check. Next month it will continue to be about love, but against a different astrological background and from a different perspective.
Aries: Perhaps, at last, you’d like to enforce your cause with vehemence. This is entirely appropriate when it comes to issues that have been developing since June. You’ve been occupied long enough with them to make intelligent decisions. Other topics, especially questions of the heart which are only now becoming apparent, need patience and sympathetic conversations. If this is difficult for you, it is best to withdraw from the situation, defuse the tension through activity and only then continue to talk further.
Taurus: You’re not the type for rash actions, even so here’s a warning to avoid such at all costs now. However, you have the best chances in all matters if you remain patient and objective, tuning in to your counterpart and staying generally committed to your friendly and obliging nature. Talks are particularly promising in mid-October; do not take radical positions but seek compromise. During this month your only recently awakened inner rebel can have a little break.
Gemini: In the first half of the month you tend to think in black-and-white which, for Geminis, is rather atypical. The easiest way out of this attitude is to show more staying power during your activities and encounters, because over time nuances become more obvious. In the second half of the month you will relax and return to your usual flexibility. However, this could also reinforce the tendency towards carelessness. Whatever you do, examine your steps more often than usual.
Cancer: The first third of the month demands your care especially in matters that are otherwise considered unimportant. After New Moon those preparations will be beneficial for you, because until Full Moon you will tend to be fickle about everything you would have to tackle anew. You prefer to keep things in limbo, also because you would rather not be on bad terms with anyone. Which is fine, because from the 24th the Full Moon is urging to take concrete steps. If they can support you in your further development, play it out and take a chance!
Leo: You’re starting the month in a conciliatory mood. The question underlying all other topics in October is: What do I actually want to do with my life? Even if you don’t find an answer right away, don’t push it aside – if that’s at all possible. Such an answer requires an independent inner viewpoint, unperturbed whether others would applaud you or not. At the earliest by the end of the month you can expect new insights that will carry you for a while.
Virgo: At the beginning of the month, you’re inclined to quite extreme positions. If you wait a little before giving your opinion, more balance is the result. In general, you are now closing in on your ultimate clarity, but it is not yet reliable. Count on your humanity instead of your perfection. This will make you overall more relaxed. Your energy is now more fertile anyway if you direct it inwards or let it show to advantage in the emotional realm, rather than putting it into exterior projects.
Libra: If you always bear in mind that many of your ideas and actions, but also external circumstances are still at a very early stage, then you won’t have any false expectations and will remain flexible. With retrograde Venus, you need perseverance and the willingness to keep looking anew at what the situation requires. The second half of the month is a bit more difficult and demands a higher frustration threshold from you. It is necessary not to dramatize dissonant conditions, but to handle them wisely.
Scorpio: Diplomacy is not your favourite word and to you it sounds more like hypocrisy than an achievement. Superficial niceties are definitely not your cup of tea. Your particular form of diplomacy can only consist in the deep conviction that now one has to open up and speak and act from the heart. Your diplomacy can thus achieve much more lasting results than the usual exchange of fine words. However, you will not be able to see what you have actually effectuated until November.
Sagittarius: October is rather introspective without being lacklustre or even gloomy. It is just that you prefer to devote yourself to the essential questions – regardless in which area of life. You anyway like to seek for that which really makes sense, providing you with a feeling of fulfilment. It isn’t enough for you that something merely feels good. Find out during this month what is of deepest concern to you. This matter forms the basis for what you desire for the next twelve months.
Capricorn: After small hurdles at the beginning of October, things are now progressing step by step. You are matter-of-fact oriented, but at the same time your ability to make good arrangements with others and the desire to be in harmony with them comes to the fore. This makes all processes more flowing, and this smoothness relaxes you and the people around. Difficulties either won’t arise at all or they disappear in time because you don’t give them any energy, but sticking to that which is going well.
Aquarius: Relationship management continues to be at the top of your agenda – or should be if you really want to tap the full potential of the energy in October. Who relishes power struggles, quarrels, accusations, misunderstandings or break-ups with those who are actually important to yourself or could at least be useful? So, it’s time to focus on what’s worth keeping instead of running away from complications or shrugging and moving on to the next item on the agenda. Search for and find real solutions.
Pisces: In the first half of October there are some barbs that you can overcome with patience. In return it will again run smoothly in the second half of the month. Your resource consists of a global view of issues which can be sorted into larger contexts. In this way you not only relax yourself but also the people you deal with. Stand by your intuitive conclusions that can be tapped by those who are open to them. If you can logically substantiate them, fine. If not, that’s okay now too.
