Viramo reports on OshoFest Mexico, held at the Gran Kuxtal ranch near Ensenada, Mexico, in mid-September. The event was co-sponsored by Osho Niranjana Meditation Center and Centro Osho Gyan Ensenada.
It began with Friday night Full Moon Nataraj, and the energy just heated up from there. The second annual OshoFest Mexico, held at Osho Gran Kuxtal in Baja California, a 90-minute drive south of the U.S. border, offered a super schedule from start to finish. Dynamic, Kundalini, morning satsang, evening meeting with Osho video, yoga — kept the thirty-plus participants busy. Add to that the “Power of the Heart” dance workshop with Maneesha and Aneesha’s very active Osho Pulsation. Aneesha also led Heart Dance the last day of the event. Moving the energy even higher was Trance Dance with drummer Rishi of the One Sky Band, and Osho Fiesta featuring pumped-up salsa dance music with DQ Qadin plus a talent show to top off the evening.
Delicious vegetarian food, with a Mexican accent. was served up three times a day. Milarepa and his One Sky band members, Rishi, Prabodh and Tarisha, provided a varied musical texture throughout the event – from rockin’ Osho songs to mellow interludes for sannyas initiation and morning satsangs. Mila and his group closed out the event with “Celebration Is My Message” before hugs and goodbyes.
On his Facebook page, Mila quoted Deva Kamala, director of Osho Gran Kuxtal: “As Kamala said at the end, ‘I have no words.’ And it is true: some things can only be said with tears and silence.” Added Navaneet, an early landscape designer of the Sonoran Desert property: “No wall here. Love and grace abide.” Indeed. In the wild wild world of Osho, our celebration goes on and on and on.
