Butterflies

Poetry

A short poem and a wonderful photograph by Tarpan.

Butterflies by Tarpan

I went on counting
But they didn’t.
I went on moving
But they didn’t.
I didn’t say anything
But they did hear
Everything, before it was said.

All I got in the evening
A handful of
Broken pupa shells,
Empty
Empty.
