A selection of photographs by Shantidharm.
The nights are getting colder, the days are getting shorter, autumn is coming…
Autumn in Japan is as beautiful as spring, with different colours but with the same magic in the air. While spring is undoubtedly world-famous due to the sakura (the cherry blossoms), something about autumn makes it just as unique.
Colours descend onto all the cities’ many parks and gardens. Trees in their autumn colours are also very beautiful in the temple gardens of Kyoto. Not to be missed is the sight of the trees during evening illuminations which are held at selected gardens and temples.
And for those who prefer walking in nature, far away from the crowds, enjoy the splendid russet, yellow, orange, and brilliant reds in the wooded valleys and mountains.
