(2 December 1966 – 24 October 2023)
Jivan Avani (Sunita Patel) from Pune was the companion of (Italian) Veet Mohi.
She died from a stroke after five days in a coma. She was just 56 years of age.
Mohi writes:
She left her body with such a suave smile on her lips. She was ready to go and passed from sleep to coma without any suffering.
She was creative till the very last moment and she’s now dancing with all the Buddhas.
The last Tarot card she drew was called ‘Enlightenment Insurance’!
She will be dearly missed.

Collage completed by Avani a few hours before her coma – Mohi’s collage for her departure
I lived with Avani in Villa del Poeta, Ameno, in the 1990’s. We shared a sense of humour and I still remember her infectious giggle. As two outsiders, we could laugh about the Italians when they weren’t around, which was fun.
The last time we met I saw her fierce devotional love for Osho. Very intense and powerful to see how she burned with a clear, bright light. I’m grateful now.
I’ll miss you Avani.
Nadam
I saw you with a smile and now with a pinch in my heart.
With you I feel the strength of lightness,
readiness to discover more,
not without arguing.
You bring the touch of a leaf dancing in the wind.
With love,
Yoganand
