At the beginning of the month, before yet another set of people flew off to their winter destinations, a trust was formed to look after our beautiful Buddha Hall. The board of trustees consists of Vasanti and Michel who built the hall; Sasha, the office manager; Adri, the kitchen manager and chef; Sandesh and Daya; and Ganga and Samada also on the board. Being longtime residents on the island, “they will keep us on track,” says Sandesh. The trustees are all committed to supporting the vision of the Buddha Hall as “a place for meditative arts with emphasis on meditation, self-enquiry and Gurdjieff movements in an environment supportive to conscious living.”

For the coming year Sandesh will fill the role of general manager and coordinator, something he has done many times in his life and still enjoys. “I love being part of a heartfelt team in service of fellow travellers on their individual journeys of self-discovery.” He is very excited about Buddha Hall fulfilling its potential as a vibrant place of meditation and celebration.

“Even though there has been no marketing the word has gotten out and the Buddha Hall is no longer a secret; group organisers have discovered that it’s a great place. They can combine their programme with the spectacular natural habitat, the surrounding hills covered with olive groves, the gorgeous beach and temperate ocean. Space for this coming summer is filling up fast and there are only a few open weeks left.“
