Peter left his body on 21st February 2011 in Pune

Mega writes: “My friend Peter died on 21st February. A death celebration was organised for him on 22nd February, starting at the Osho Meditation Resort and culminated at the burning ghats.

“Peter has been hanging out for years in Pune. I guess he also decided it was the best place to retire – as others do – to squeeze that last bit of juice out of life. I was told that in the last few months Peter had leukemia and that he knew that he was going to die soon. He stayed at the house of one of my old Indian sannyasin friends in the ‘Indian village’, and I know that he has been well looked after. Peter was 82 years old and died in the Inlak Budhrani Hospital.”

I still carry my faithful and true friend Anand Peter in my heart even after all of these years that he has been gone. Gosh, it happened so suddenly, his departure, that there was no time for me to even go to India and say farewell. So we had to say our final goodbyes on the phone before he left. It was awkward and I did not want to hang up the phone because I knew that this was the last time we would speak. And then he was gone so quickly that I did not realize that that was it – until later on when I sat there in my house and felt an unseen visitor holding me. Then I knew it was Peter, my best friend of all times, that walked by my side faithfully and loved me unconditionally for many years in Poona, and I knew that he had left his body…. Fly high, beloved friend, you will always be remembered by me. I miss hanging out with you at the German bakery and drinking Chai xo Your faithful friend too ♥: ))

Vimal Piet, pure… You are always in my heart, forever. Remembering how you taught me to shut my mouth and so I fell, naturally, into a silent moment, that still continues.
