A poem by Rashid inspired by a recent autumn day
O M G this autumn
day won’t come again
the driven light the green
leaf sloping into death
are now and nevermore.
Photographs don’t do it
the river needs a new
name every second every
inch. Its sound and shape
are now and nevermore.
The candle flaming up
is always different flames.
Who knows perhaps the whole
point of this life is always
Now and now and now.
