After countless years of pilgrimage to India, America and Germany, a few years ago I stopped in one of the most beautiful spots of Italy. Beautiful not only because of its natural sceneries but also because of its many cities of art like Florence, Siena and San Giminiano. You guessed it, I live in Tuscany!

The area where I live is particularly captivating and its natural beauties and animals have definitely stimulated my creativity. Meditation and contemplation in nature come effortlessly and it is not a coincidence that the largest Osho meditation centre in Europe should be located here.

The open spaces, the great silence, the hundreds of years old oak trees are nourishment for the soul and in these photos I wanted to portray this place which I love so much, so that I could share it with you.

You can read Muni’s stories about taking photographs of Osho, Part 1: Drink it, Drink it All!

Muni

Muni has been a photographer all his life, working as a commercial and artistic photographer. He took sannyas in 1975 and in the commune he worked for Osho Times and was lucky to be able to take photographs of Osho several times. Nowadays he lives in an old Tuscan village surrounded by beautiful forests.

These photos are part of a photo exhibition that he is preparing for this summer. It will be shown in Casole D’Elsa near Siena and also during a workshop for photography and meditation which Muni will facilitate in the holiday village he runs near Siena.
