Kumari wrote a poem to accompany her artwork shown in our virtual Art Gallery.
A wedding band, the call to prayer, parrots gathering for the night.
Dusk to dawn.
Long long night.
Day breaks again
Against the sky drop
prisms prove the dance is life
and whirls upon worlds
clap frantically calling
calling cawing keee ko
Deeper higher higher deeper.
Playful prayerful open sky.
I’ll pour the wish of my beloved self. An ecstasy. An honouring.
Poem and artwork by Ma Anand Kumari
