Music enthusiasts are in for a treat this week as the four-day Osho Music and Meditation Monsoon Festival begins tonight. One the lineup are a wide range of artistes including Abhijit Pohankar, who will open the festival on August 11 with his Bollywood Gharana-style of music that adds an Indian classical twist to timeless Hindi film music sounds.
Also performing (on August 13) is talented Mumbai-based vocalist Ramya Iyer and Bollywood playback singer Tochi Raina with his group, Band of Bandagi, on August 14.
Winding up the festival is well-known sitarist Ravi Chary who will take the stage with his band, Crossing, on August 15. Known for his high energy mash-ups Chary is sure to close the festival on a high note.
First-time visitors to Osho International Meditation Resort will need to pay Rs 100 for a gate pass with digital photo. This does not include the actual daily entry sticker. Entry tickets bought for all four days will be available at a discount of approximately 15 per cent.
