This song was written and recorded in Greece during Pernilla Kannapinn’s artistic quarantine. It premiered on March 29, 2020.
Pernilla said, “As my entire summertour has been cancelled and I decided to stay on the loveley island of Syros until the waves are tamed, I still have a big thirst to bring my love into this world in the form of music. But having to wait an indefinite amount of time before I will be able to play live again, I hope to bring love and light right into your heart and home with this humble little piece of music.”

Lyrics
There is a virus that conquers the globe,
it’s making you sick, taking all of your hope
it is transmitted from mouth to ear,
a deadly desease – I’m talking of fear.
Learn a new language and write a love letter,
sing until your neighbours complain,
call up a loved one to make them feel better,
open the windows to let in the stars.
Move your whole body till each cell is buzzing,
learn how to juggle, to stand on your hands,
teach your husband to make chocolate muffins,
savour each moment – this too shall pass.
There is a virus that conquers the globe,
transmitted through screens and infecting your hope.
You’ll first feel informed, but then you will loose
your mind and your sanity – turn off the news!
Learn how to belly dance or to dance Tango,
now you may sleep as much as your dog.
Take a long bubble bath, design a tattoo,
don’t count the hours instead count the stars.
Grab your guitar and start learning this song
two bars of G, Fminor then C,
don’t medicate instead meditate,
savour each moment, this too shall pass.
This little song shall conquer the globe,
may it spread like a virus and infect you with hope,
so open your heart, let it fill up with love,
you’re not alone and this too shall pass.
So open your heart, let it fill up with love,
you’re not alone and this too shall pass.
So open your heart, let it fill up with love,
you’re not alone and this too shall pass.
With thanks to Shanti
