Thoughts and photos of her creativity from Jivan Kavya.
One of my favourite quotes
has been:
Sitting silently, doing nothing, the grass grows by itself.”
I sit by my sewing table, right foot on the pedal.
I sit by my ceramic table, pinching clay.
I walk quietly around my garden,
I sit on the grass,
I dig with my hands
into the soil.
But I admit: there is a certain sitting… inside.
A quiet sitting, a leaning back –
into myself,
into eternity,
into nothingness,
into everythingness.
So I guess I sit silently.
And yes, the grass grows by itself.
And so do the birds and the grandchildren,
the trees,
the dresses,
the ceramic pots…
they all grow
by
themselves.
