(25 May 1943 – 20 February 2024)
Shivam (Theo Peterzen) was an adventurous, colourful big brother, uncle and friend, according to his obituary.
He lived in Haarlem, The Netherlands. As a carpenter, he made the most beautiful objects. He intensely enjoyed his camper van, which he had rebuilt himself, making many trips as a real Haarlem Globetrotter.
Shivam was fond of animals and had a white dove as a family friend.
At his request, his last journey to the crematorium was made in his camper van.
He was looking forward to his next journey with curiosity…
Death is an organic, integral part of life, and it is very friendly to life.
Without it life cannot exist.
Life exists because of death; death gives the background.
Death is, in fact, a process of renewal.
And death happens each moment.Osho, The Art of Dying, Ch 1

Shivam was a very dear friend. The news that he passed on this springtime came as a shock to me.
In the eighties we had many adventures together.
He was an excellent craftsman and he realized many projects for me. He was also a great ‘party maker’. I remember he organized a beautiful ‘sari party’ in Poona, in the Dutch Palace, on which occasion I met the famous Dutch singer Swami Ramses Shaffy.
Also, he came on a tandem paraglide with me for a beautiful, long flight. Thank you Shivam for your confidence in me.
We will meet again in space-time. Just hang on.

Dear dancing Shivam,
Missed you at the last Landjuweel festival in Ruigoord, where every year in summer we almost always had a chat and a dance together.
You’ll always be here with your big smile as how I will remember you now. RiP
Fly high, love light healing on your last trip.
