Art and meditation came into my life at different times, but are closely linked with each other. So much so that at a certain point, they met and merged.

I remember having to stay home from school one day and spending the whole afternoon drawing the leaves of a tree. When I was 8 years old, I drew a picture for a contest in a shopping mall – horses. I won the contest and went to collect the prize on a TV show. However, the real prize for me was getting behind the scenes of the TV studio!

Many years later, I became an actress – but drawing has always remained with me. It is a way of expressing what is beyond words. Things that not even the body can express, images can.

While living and working at Osho Pankaj Meditation Center in Rio de Janeiro, I had the chance to travel and meet some of ‘Osho’s artists’: Nivedano, Milarepa, Meera, Nisargan. My life was never the same again.

I painted the walls of the meditation center, and in the events we organized, there was always a way to include the Arts. I started facilitating painting sessions during those events and felt something inexplicable, an explosion of creative energy multiplied in the sharing.

During the pandemic I went deeper into painting, isolated as I was from the world I knew, and very much connected to myself. Since then I have been painting more and am working as an on-line facilitator. It makes me happy to feel connected to people who sometimes are geographically so far away… yet, their hearts so close.
