I began painting two years ago, when I bought myself acrylic paints and canvases and, without any formal artistic training, simply started experimenting.

A whole new world opened up to me – full of colours, shapes, and endless possibilities of techniques. During the creative process I found myself reaching for anything that was at hand: modelling paste, masking tape, packing paper, palette knives, brushes of all kinds, sponges, even kitchen paper. With childlike joy, I played and explored.

Not every attempt was a success – sometimes the result felt like a disaster. My inner critic would whisper, “You can’t paint,” and I would either abandon the canvas or paint over it. But inspiration from other artists kept me moving forward; by imitating them, I learned. Often I find myself staring at a blank canvas, shaping it in my imagination for hours before the first stroke appears.

Looking back at what I have created, I see a kaleidoscope of expressions. It feels like a reflection of my rich and wonderful life – a life carried by Osho having been in my heart for almost fifty years now, guiding me with trust as I’ve leapt into the unknown again and again.

I have a vision of what I want to let happen next, but unsure if I can. I want to move into a space where likeness meets interpretation – capturing more mood, energy, and essence with abstract realism, involving portraits. Now I am looking forward with curiosity and excitement to what will emerge on the canvases yet to come.
