प्रेम। निशा के लिए कुछ सामान इस पत्र के साथ भेज रहा हूं। पहले श्री छोटेलाल जी जैन के साथ भेज रहा था, लेकिन वे आये ही नहीं। मेरा निकलंक के नाम लिखा पत्र मिल गया होगा। तू और अम्मू दोनों गर्मियों की छुट्टी में यहां घूमने के लिए आ जाना। शेष शुभ। पूज्य दद्दा और भाभी को पद स्पर्श। सबको प्रेम।

Love. I am sending some items for Nisha along with this letter. I had intended to send them earlier through Shree Chhotelal Ji Jain, but he never came. You must have received the letter I wrote to Niklank. You and Ammu should both come here during the summer holidays for a visit. The rest is well. Pad sparsh at the feet of Dadda and Bhabhi. Love to everyone.

Notes

• Sillu is the affectionate nickname for Swami Shailendra Saraswati.
• Ammu is the affectionate nickname for Swami Yoga Amit.
• Niklank refers to Swami Niklank Bharti.
• Nisha refers to Ma Nisha Bharti.
• Dadda is a respectful term meaning Father.
• Bhabhi, although it literally means ‘elder brother’s wife’, was the affectionate term Osho always used for Mother.
• The phrase pad sparsh literally means ‘touching the feet’, a customary gesture of respect toward one’s elders.
• Some items refers to the gifts Osho sent for Nisha’s wedding. He attended the weddings of his siblings and cousins until this period. But he did not attend Nisha’s wedding or any subsequent family weddings.
