A poem by Avikal

I praise forgetfulness.
I praise the innocent, childlike capacity we have
of letting the world slip by without holding,
and the intuitive knowing that nothing matters.
That our prayer is just our living.
That our devotion is just laughing
and enjoying the fullness of our cup.
That we have no need to leave a mark on this planet.
Then, move lightly in this garden,
forget yourself, get lost.
And stay lost.
