As announced in the magazine Bold on 10 February 2026 (boldoutline.in), Osho Dham will host a special cultural and spiritual gathering on Thursday, 12 February, marking Disciple Day. The programme brings together literature, art and remembrance, centred around the legacy of Ma Yoga Laxmi – Osho’s first disciple and long-time secretary.

The morning event begins at 11:00 and includes selected readings from The Only Life, Rashid Maxwell’s biography of Ma Yoga Laxmi. Through carefully chosen excerpts, listeners are offered an intimate glimpse into her extraordinary life – from her early years in Mumbai to her central role beside Osho, marked by trust, intelligence, courage and deep inner surrender. Copies of the book will be on display and available at the venue.

Disciple Day is traditionally observed on Ma Yoga Laxmi’s birth anniversary, and this year’s celebration is shaped as a living reflection on discipleship – not as hierarchy, but as love, devotion and inner transformation. As Ma Dharm Jyoti, who will inaugurate the exhibition together with Swami Atul Anand, expresses it:

Disciple Day is a reminder that discipleship is not about hierarchy, but about love, courage and inner transformation. Through the book reading, the exhibition and this gathering, we are celebrating lives lived in trust and awareness.”

Running in parallel with the readings is the inauguration of Divine Intervention, a solo exhibition by Hiral Singhal. The show presents 15 paintings in acrylic and mixed media and will remain on view at Osho Dham from 12 February until 11 March 2026, open daily from 9:00 to 18:00.

Untrained yet highly intuitive, Hiral’s work arises from meditation rather than technique. Initiated as an Osho sannyasin at Osho Dham in 2022, she received the name Ma Prem Arpita – “the one who offers love.” Her paintings feel spontaneous and contemplative, infused with silence, presence and a quiet inner strength. Playfulness and surrender coexist naturally on the canvas, echoing essential qualities often spoken of in Osho’s work.

Hiral describes her process in simple terms:

My paintings are not planned; they emerge from silence. For me, art is a form of meditation – an offering rather than an expression. Whatever flows onto the canvas feels guided, as if trust itself is painting.”

She has previously exhibited at AIFACS, NGMA, India Habitat Centre, Shanta Art Gallery, Stainless Gallery, and several major national art festivals across India.

Swami Atul Anand, Managing Trustee of the Osho World Foundation, adds another note to the spirit of the day:

Discipleship means remaining open, receptive, and deeply trusting of the Master. In Ma Laxmi’s life, this spirit finds its living expression.”

Together, the book reading and Divine Intervention form a single arc – honouring the legacy of Ma Yoga Laxmi while showing how the same stream of awareness continues to express itself through contemporary creativity.
