The Dabbawallas

From the Web

A report on the amazing and unique food delivery system in India.

Dabbawallas are commonly found in Mumbai; they are part of the delivery system that collects hot food in tiffins (lunchboxes) from the residences of city employees in the late morning, delivering them to the workplace by various modes of transport, mainly bicycles and trains. In the afternoon, the empty tiffins are returned to the customer’s residence. Also several prominent caterers take advantage of their services, sending ready-made cooked meals from their kitchens to customers.

Definitely beats fast food in quality!
