The astonishing image was created from 477 individual photographs of the Khumbu glacier, captured by David Breashears during the spring of 2012, from the Pumori viewpoint near Mt. Everest. The team also produced stunning ‘then and now’ pictures to show the effect climate change on the area since 1921.
It is an astonishing image that shows the beauty and majesty of the Himalaya region.
This picture is zoomed in just to show the peak of Mt. Everest – and the picture is still clear.
