Ashoka

Journeys

…left his body on 21st March 2016 in Fremantle, Australia.

Ashoka (aka David Clark) was born in London. His father would have wanted him to work in his company but his passion was running marathons, so he left for Australia to get the best training. He came to Osho in early Poona One and lived a commune life in different places: Pune, Australia and Oregon. Once Osho said to him, “Running is your meditation”. In Pune he was mostly working as a main gate guard.

He liked to be in nature and his British humour was very popular.

you crazy guy.
Love you,

Always the most loving and the funniest front gate welcome from Ashoka. Incredible energy in that compact runner’s body. Buen viaje, Ashoka. Thanks for your wit and your love and your friendship.

Beloved Ashoka, so many times at the Gateless Gate in Pune meeting you … your smile so dear and sweet and your humor crisp-clear, a great welcome into the Buddhafield at the Gate already … that is how you left your presence within my heart … good-bye beloved Ashoka, missing you already at The Gate.
Khushbu

Ashoka, it touches my heart to see your name here. I remember you as a kind support in Pune 1, and in Perth, for this insecure 20 or 21 year-old who felt so out of his depth at times. I always experienced your respect, warmth and kindness as a blessing. Thank you for in you in my life Beloved,
Valli (Vallabha)
