After the hit documentary about the controversial guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, aka Osho, which was released in 2018, the buzz is that a new book about the Indian guru will be published this year.

A book by Subhuti Anand Waight promises to reveal more about Bhagwan from an insider’s point of view. Titled ‘Wild Wild Guru’, the book will be published by Coronet.

According to a report by The Bookseller, Mark Booth at Coronet has bought the World English Language rights from Kevin Pocklington at JBA to publish the book.

The author, Subhuti Anand Waight was a political journalist at Westminster. He gave up his career and spent 14 years living with Bhagwan as the latter’s disciple. In the book, he writes about Bhagwan’s cult which took the world by surprise.

Commenting on the development, Coronet said, according to The Bookseller, “‘Wild Wild Guru’ reveals new insider details about Bhagwan including his unorthodox teachings on sex, use of violence, misuse of power and all the criminal activities that led to a national scandal and the first bioterror attack in the United States. But the book also shows another side to this fascinating story. It acknowledges the depth of meditation that people experienced in Bhagwan’s presence and the transformation his disciples went through.”

‘Wild Wild Guru’ is expected to be out in September.
