Very proud and self-conscious, an elegantly dressed shopper approaches the clerk in a stationery shop.

“A friend of mine is a writer and I am looking for something nice to bring him as a present. Could you show me something?”

The clerk leads her to a remote corner and points to the display, “How about one of these wastepaper baskets?”
