… left his body on 25 February 2022.
Farewell beloved Bhavesh, lover, friend and brother…
by Anasuya (aka Deva Prashna)
50 years is a very long time to recall a story, which now has come to an end.
1972: in Paris, a scent of incense drew me to La Lucarne, a wonderful shop, which then appeared to me like Ali Baba’s cave, full of treasures from the East as it was the fashion then; Afghani shirts, Indian kurtas, bronze statues of gods, chillums, jewelry, incense… And there was Bhavesh, the shopkeeper, a hippie with a mystic aura. I immediately fell for this man.
1976: We arrived together in Poona One and went our separate ways. Bhavesh got into weaving along with American Parmita; he loved it and excelled in it.
Whatever he did, he was a true artist. Wherever he lived had the touch of his presence, esthetic, colorful, inspiring, full of music and beautiful rare objects.

After Poona he went back to Paris to manage again La Lucarne. But never ceased to travel to the East now and then, buying and selling, or having jewelry done. Like a true nomad, he was an excellent trader without being a business man, as he favored human relationships. Fair and generous.
Most of all he was real fun, original, and certainly a ‘bon vivant’, and a great cook.
A great lover of women!
When he settled in Mallorca, I lost track of him, but when he later moved to Sauve, a wonderful village in South-East of France, we reconnected. For quite a long time already he had started to create amazing detailed intricate collages, collecting tons of pictures and spending hours assembling them. In Sauve, as a flourishing of his creativity, he got into unique colorful digital creations, full of mystical and witty inspiration, which one can explore on his Facebook page: Prem Bhavesh Digital Art & Photos.
He generously and passionately shared his deep love and knowledge of Indian and Eastern music, a true ode to spiritual realms. Beauty and true kindness were his way.
On February 25, after months of suffering from lung cancer he left to disappear into the Light.
Irreplaceable lover of the divine in every manifestation of life, Bhavesh Ki Jay!
Your cup of tea emptied
The fragrant taste remains
a perfect meeting

Bhavesh – Unforgettable
by Prem Satyana
Namasteji!
Just a few notes in reminiscence of our departed beloved Friend, Bhavesh.
A sweet-hearted and unique loving and lovable man. An eternal traveler, with a long career of exploring the world, to finally settle in Mallorca and later in France.
He was really a poly-faceted artist, a house builder, cabinetmaker, gardener, jewelry designer, graphist, photographer and above all an existential poet. And always an immense music lover, especially of the East, sharing it with all his friends. A man of multiple talents and a dear friend to many.
I met him first in France in our hippie times in the seventies, then for many years we shared adventures and discoveries as sannyasins in Poona and elsewhere, always very close and intimate, in spite of both our strong and crazy characters!
After selling his house in Mallorca, he disappeared for a long while from Europe in Thailand, then returned and stayed with me again on the island of Calmness, before finally settling in his last home, in Sauve at the feet of the Cevennes, southwest of France, once again surrounded by dear and creative friends, and often traveling to Amsterdam to be with his first son and family.
A lover of Life in all dimensions, he was a real Zorba the Buddha…
May his sweet soul live forever in the Light!
Blown by the fire
Like a Paradise bird
Soaring high in the sky…
Bottles of red wine
by Deva Marga

Long-time friend, remembering his arrival in Poona in 1976 and his staying in Laxmi Villas, weaving with him and Parmita, and of course in Paris, visiting him in La Lucarne, the hippie Indian shop… and finally meeting him again when he arrived in Sauve, South-East of France.
The last meeting with him, that I want to share, is when we gathered with a bunch of close friends after his liberation from the body. Bhavesh had left some of his own bottles of red wine for us to drink and celebrate his departure! Such care for us from him – and a beautiful and light moment.
Fly high l’ami.

Ho Bhavesh…
Since a couple of years I was looking for you but never found you anywhere… which is “incroyable.”
I’m so sorry he left the body and… he had such a rich life…
We met on 21st March 1983 in Paris during a sannyas Enlightenment day party – my father famously said, “Sannyasins are happy people, celebrating on bad champagne.”
There he was… we became an item for 2 years… before I left for the ranch… that was never boring for sure…
He was such a bon-vivant… born on April 1st! which is something in France! I had to laugh thinking of him every April 1st! Such a crazy soul really… He was so unconventional. I learned a lot being together… He knew so much about Asia… and he had all these photos of him as a sadhu in the early 60s, with some holy cows 😊
And here is a photo from Poona 1 (which I think I might have stolen from him!) he was definitely a women’s lover.
After the ranch we met in Nepal in 1988. Then we lost each other…
One day he showed up on my phone and I was about to go out… and never found him again…
It was quite a crew with Paraprem and Murari in Paris and south of France… both departed…
You touched my heart ❤ so yes, fly high in the sky comme une étoile scintillante!
With deep love,
Rani
