As announced earlier this month, Osho Tapoban organized also this year a grand festival on the occasion of Nepal’s New Year Celebration.
During Friday 14th April, from 9am till 9pm, around 15 thousand people came down to the central ground of Kathmandu to join the event. It was inaugurated by the Vice President of Nepal, Mr. Rams Shaya Prasad Yadav. During his opening speech, he expressed his appreciation of the organization of the mega-event for creating public awareness of meditation and celebration in such grand way. He also launched the book, Mystic & Miracles, by Swami Anand Arun. The book collects Swami Arun’s experiences with the mystics and their miraculous life stories.
This colourful event was full of meditations, yoga, singing, dance, more meditations, chanting, poetry recitals, live musical performances, dances, drama, and a variety of comedy performances that continued until 9pm. Standup comedian Manoj Gajurel, actor Jitu Nepal and other folk singers also performed in the programme.
The highlight of the event was the Kundalini Meditation, which was practised by thousands of people on the ground. On the side there was a book display and also a food festival.
Various centre coordinators, sannyasins, Osho lovers, and friends joined the event coming from different parts of Nepal, India, and further afield.
