When was the last time you thanked your heart for not taking a ‘vacation’? asks Subhan.
Or your kidneys? Or your lungs?
In other words, when was the last time you were grateful for all the mysterious and marvelous things your body is doing to keep you on Planet Earth?
In fact, when was the last time you felt truly grateful?
I’m referring to the kind of gratefulness that envelopes you; to the experience that marinates you in a rich feeling of well-being!
If you’ve experienced this recently, then you know what a gift this life of ours is!
And if not, maybe it’s time to recognize how the mind avoids this feeling; how it limits access to moments of joy and relaxation and feeling at peace! And because the mind melts and disappears in these experiences, it will try and disconnect from them, and even camouflage their existence!
Moments of being a watcher in meditation can support a dis-identification from this mind, and help make the gift of gratitude more present. Then, you may even thank your body for all it has done for you!
