Mining

Poetry

The upheaval of Abhiyana’s life continues…

Light

Sickness – Death – Grief – Love

Mountains are no longer mountains
I never even dreamed deep love for another
Could bring me to this level of inquiry
Who am I?
What is the Witness?
Is there a Soul?
I cannot stop asking
All the words of the enlightened world’s wisdom fall short and away too
Until it is my experience

Time to hit bedrock
Mining for something far more valuable than gold or precious gems
Drilling down through the stuff of nightmares
Drilling down through agonies and ecstasies and decades of complacency
Drilling down through loves won and lost
Drilling down through this fragile ego, a man of many masks: the pleaser, the master healer, the meditator, the disciple, the doctor, the devotee, the author, the great lover, the wise counselor, the devoted son, the husband, the father, the provider, the mentor, the friend

Drilling through the one who pretends to know anything
Drilling down through all the fog of memories
Drilling down through the pre-verbal abandonment wound
Drill down to before I was born
Where I’m only Awareness
Nothing less will do
Nothing else to do
