Tatini shows her landscape paintings in our virtual Art Gallery.
When painting I get inspiration from nature; that’s why I like to go outside and paint. I sit down in a place where I feel attracted to the light and the shapes before me. After a short time I become one with what is around me, and the canvas becomes part of it.
It always happens that I become like a hollow bamboo and I receive the energy from nature, from the person I paint, from the canvas itself, and from spiritual masters and painters.
I know when a painting is finished when the relationship between me, the canvas and the subject is over. The river has stopped flowing and has arrived at the ocean. It ends like a love affair ends, with love, appreciation and gratitude.
Note: The painting of the Mula Mutha River has been published in the Melissa Publications’ Encyclopedia of Greek Artists of the 20th Century.
