Khemu Amrit writes:

Swami Jagdish Bharti was born on 25th October 1952 in a small village called Raiper, which is still standing within the Babara County of Gujarat’s State’s Amareli District. His elementary education was at this village; however he got his later schooling in Bhavnagar, a city of Gujarat State. Right from his childhood, he had demonstrated a keen interest towards Ayurveda, which led him to pursue the profession of Ayurvedic medicine.

While still in 10th grade of high school, Jagdish’s brother, Vatsal, encouraged him to accompany him to Ahmedabad, a nearby city, to listen to talks by the one he referred to as ‘an Upanishad Rishi’, Bhagwan Rajneesh. Jagdish took up this opportunity to attend the talks, and this is where he got his first real ‘darshan’ of Osho; he was hooked. This was love at first sight!

Jagdish Bharti continued to practice his profession, including the manufacturing of over 700 Ayurvedic herbal drugs. Along with it, he took to translating many a Hindi talk of Osho into his own mother tongue, Gujarati. Doing so, he continued to immerse himself in the practice and pursuit of meditation.

Later he took sannyas directly from Osho, including the experience of shaktipat at Osho’s hands. Soon after, he was drawn to living in Pune where he moved to live permanently.

A startling fact about Jagdish Bharti was that he slept for merely 3 hours out of 24; he spent his remaining time while awake, all in the service of Osho’s work! It was as if his Guru, Osho, was imbibed within every pore of his body. He dedicated his entire life to the work for his Master. I have yet to meet another man with such a lifelong devotion to Osho and his work as Swami Jagdish Bharti.

Jagdish Bharti left his body early in the morning at 3:20 am, on 12th December 2020.

I would like to conclude by stating that, from my perspective, Jagdish Bharti’s entire life is a lesson for a seeker of truth.

Thank you!

Thanks to his sister Deepti Bharti, Dhyan Aakash, to Khemu Amrit for the text, and to Suneel for the translation
