“I”
There is no I, there is no separation from existence, from friends, from enemies, from trees, from rocks, from animals, from you, from me. We are all part of the same ocean. You taught us that, our Master. I don’t always ‘get’ it, but I understand that “I” was not your reality. When looking in your eyes, when you were not putting on the show of “I”, I saw nothing but the wildness of an impersonal nature – the ocean. Neither friendly nor unfriendly, not personally concerned with us.
“Leave”
Leave! How could you leave anything? How could you say that, when we know that you lived completely and wholly in the present. You expressed yourself as part of the universe. You would leave nothing behind when you passed to that other shore, I heard you say. You were not concerned with what happened next. That would be part of living in the future and wanting life to follow what you wanted. You left us nothing but love.
“You”
There is no “I”; there is no “Thou”. There is only celebration and love that goes on and on forever. “You” is a word that is used as a convenience, I heard you say. But you had no separation from any of us. Your trust in us was absolute, as part of you.
“My”
Nothing belongs to anyone. Your children don’t belong to you, even your thoughts are not your own. Grasping and insecurity create that idea of “My”. My Master did not have that.
“Dream”
You are all living in a dream world. My job is to wake you all up. How many times did he say that? The only difference between you and me is that you are asleep and dreaming, and I am not.
If you look at every word of Osho’s last words, each is a conundrum. We know that our master could never have said them. So perhaps he did!
