Treat yourself to a relaxing Reiki treatment to end the day – courtesy of Tanmaya

This self treatment has a calming effect on body, mind and soul, as well as harmonizing all your chakras. You can also use this treatment effectively any time you need a sense of calm and peace. It works best before going to sleep, and when you have difficulty getting to sleep or cannot get back to sleep. It helps you accept and absorb the experiences of the day. If you fall asleep during the treatment, this will deepen the quality of your sleep. Stay in each hand position for about five minutes.

Instructions

1. Place your hands over your eyes, resting your palms on your cheekbones. This position helps to reduce stress and colds, produces clarity of thoughts and connects you with your intuition and facilitates meditation.

2. Place both hands on either side of your chest, fingers touching just below the collarbone. This position strengthens your immune system, regulates heart and blood pressure, fortifies the lymphatic system and increases the capacity for love and enjoyment.

3. Place one hand above the navel and the other below the navel. This position treats the solar plexus, stomach and digestive organs. Use it for powerful emotions, such as fear, depression and shock. This restores your energy and vitality. Allow yourself to relax deeply into this area and letting healing energy flow throughout your whole body.

4. Place both hands in the shape of a „V“ over your lower abdomen, with the fingertips touching over the pubic bone. This position treats bladder, urethra, and reproductive organs. This provides grounding and encourages you to trust in life, which allows sleep to come more easily.

You come now to an end of your self-treatment. You feel relaxed, balanced and calm…. You feel at ease with yourself. Stay in this state of deep relaxation. You can now fall asleep totally relaxed and peaceful.
